Setup in Outlook (Windows / Mac)

  1. Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account.
  2. Enter your full email address and click Connect.
  3. If Outlook tries to auto-configure and fails, choose IMAP from the account type options.
  4. Enter the incoming mail settings:
    • Server: my.mailbux.com
    • Port: 993
    • Encryption: SSL/TLS
  5. Enter the outgoing mail settings:
    • Server: my.mailbux.com
    • Port: 587
    • Encryption: STARTTLS
  6. Enter your password and click Connect.
  7. Outlook will verify the settings and add your account.

Setup in Outlook on the Web (Office 365)

  1. Go to Settings > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Sync email.
  2. Click Other email accounts.
  3. Enter your name, email address, and password.
  4. If prompted for manual settings, use the server details from the table above.

Troubleshooting

  • Authentication failed: Double-check your username is the full email address, not just the local part.
  • Cannot connect to server: Make sure you are using port 993 for IMAP and port 587 for SMTP. Do not use port 465.
  • Emails not sending: Confirm SMTP authentication is enabled and you are using STARTTLS on port 587.

Verify Your Setup

If you are having delivery issues after connecting, check these:

  • SMTP Test — confirm your outgoing server is reachable
  • MX Lookup — verify your domain MX record is correct
  • Blacklist Check — check if your IP is on any spam lists
