Set Up Mailbux Email on iPhone and iPad
You can add your Mailbux email account to the built-in Mail app on any iPhone or iPad. The setup takes about two minutes.
What You Need
- Your full Mailbux email address (e.g.
john@yourdomain.com) - Your Mailbux account password

Step-by-Step Setup
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Scroll down and tap Mail.
- Tap Accounts, then tap Add Account.
- Tap Other at the bottom of the list.
- Tap Add Mail Account.
- Fill in your details:
- Name: Your display name
- Email: Your full email address
- Password: Your Mailbux password
- Description: A label for this account (e.g. Work Email)
- Tap Next. iOS will try to auto-detect settings. If it fails, you will be taken to the manual setup screen.
- Make sure IMAP is selected at the top.
- Under Incoming Mail Server:
- Host Name:
my.mailbux.com - User Name: your full email address
- Password: your password

- Under Outgoing Mail Server:
- Host Name:
my.mailbux.com - User Name: your full email address
- Password: your password

- Tap Next. iOS will verify the settings.
- Tap Save to finish.
Verify the Port Settings
iOS sometimes sets incorrect ports during auto-detection. To check:
- Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts and tap your account.
- Tap Account, then scroll down and tap Advanced.
- Confirm the incoming server port is
993with SSL enabled. - Go back and tap the outgoing server. Confirm port is
587with STARTTLS.
Troubleshooting
- Cannot verify server identity: Make sure the hostname is exactly
my.mailbux.comwith no typos. - Password incorrect: Re-enter your password. The username must be your full email address.
- Emails not sending: Check that the outgoing server is set to port
587with STARTTLS.
